hVault has created an innovative early adopter program called the First Mover Advantage Program. This program is limited to 20 organizations who wish to begin early deployment of holographic storage. Program participants receive access to the newest technology prior to general release, automatic upgrades to hardware and software, media price protection, free archive and disaster recovery media storage, free periodic checking and reporting on the health of the archived media, and Platinum Level Service and Support for hardware, software and media.
To participate in the program, customers must place purchase orders for one or more hVault storage systems in 2012 and agree to take delivery when the system is ready for shipment. Customers will receive preferential pricing on any initial systems and subsequent systems that they purchase during the 5 year term of the First Mover Advantage Program.
Program participants will receive rebates whenever there is a price reduction on media during the term of the program. These media price reduction rebates will be the difference between the price originally paid for the media and the current price of the media. Rebates can be applied to future hVault media purchases.
As part of the program, hVault will provide a service make two copies of the customer’s holographic disks and store them in secure archives. The customer supplies the original disk and two blank disks to hVault. hVault then creates the two copies and stores one at Hollywood Vaults in Los Angeles and one at Hollywood Vaults Underground in West Virginia. Both vault copies are checked annually for data integrity and a report is sent to the customer on the health of each disk stored in the vault. Storage and annual integrity checks are free for the first five years, and provided at a discounted rate for subsequent years.
